mission of Transportation Services is to offer safe and
reliable transportation for the students, administration,
faculty, staff and guests of the University. Transportation
Services has evolved from a department that provides vehicle
maintenance services to a "full service" fleet
management agency.

Transportation Services is located in the Maintenance Center on the corner of Douglas Road and St Joseph Drive.
STAFF FACULTY SHUTTLE SCHEDULE
"As of January 21, 2008, the Administrative Shuttle bus that served the Hesburgh Library,
Bulla Road, Grace Hall and Main Building will be re-titled the Staff/Faculty Shuttle.
The route has been expanded to cover the periphery of campus by adding stops at the
D6 parking lot, Main Cirlce and Mendoza COB. The D6 location will include a stop near
the main entrance to the Center for Social Concerns (Old Security) and will make a run
around the north parking lot.
A stop at Mason Services Center has been added at 7am and 3:30pm.
Hours of operation have been expanded overall by one hour.
Riders may get on or off the shuttle at safe locations in between the primary stops,
provided these locations are at a stop sign or area where the bus can safely pull off the road."

MOTORIZED OFF-ROAD VEHICLE (GOLF CART) POLICY
As of August 1, 2007, the following Motorized Off-Road Vehicle policy (which includes golf carts) will go into effect.
This policy is the result of an increasing number of golf carts on campus. It is designed to achieve the following results:
- Ensure the safety of pedestrians and golf cart users.
- Provide an authorization process for the procurement and use of golf carts.
- Create a rental pool for departments needing occasional golf cart usage.
University Departments may begin registering their MOV's by downloading the MOV Registration Form below and faxing to Transportation Services at 574-631-9654.
