Shuttle and Bus Services

Campus Shuttle

BusWhere: Notre Dame

Planning your work day on campus just got easier. Notre Dame Transportation Services has made the switch to BusWhere shuttle tracking service.

This change will allow you to

View the location of the shuttle on the campus map in real time
View estimated time of arrival for any stop along the route
Receive a notification letting you know the shuttle is approaching your location (when accessing BusWhere through the BusWhere app only).

When looking to view the location of the shuttle, you can

Use the shuttle icon located in the NDMobile app. Use the code NOTREDAME to complete your login. No email or password is needed.
Scan the QR code to add the BusWhere app to your mobile device. When prompted, use the code NOTREDAME to complete your login. No email or password is needed.
Visit the BusWhere website to access the Notre Dame shuttle in real-time from your computer.

Routes

The Campus Shuttle consists of two routes, both of which connect at the Bulla parking lot. There is no fee for this service.

Bulla - Main Shuttle: Runs a loop from the Bulla parking lot to the Main Building, traversing Holy Cross Drive and Sorin Court along the north side of campus.
Bulla - Library - Snite Shuttle: Runs a loop from the Bulla parking lot to Hesburgh Library and Snite Museum, traversing Leahy Drive and Moose Krause Circle towards the center of campus.

Hours of Operation

Bulla - Main Shuttle: 7:00am - 10:00am and 4:00pm - 6:00pm
Bulla - Library - Snite Shuttle: 7:00am - 6:00pm

Beginning Monday, November 20th, due to campus construction projects, the Bulla-Library-Snite Shuttle will be adjusted until further notice.

Notre Dame Transportation Shuttle Routes Map

Shuttles operate Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. (see detailed routes and times listed below). Shuttles will run every 10-15 minutes. During the hours of operation, passengers can check on the status of shuttles by clicking on the shuttle icon within the ND Mobile app.

Cardinal Buses and Transportation Services partner to provide service, with a combination of Cardinal buses and University-operated vans. All vehicles will be marked with the ND Campus Shuttle signage.

Bulla/Hesburgh Library/Snite Museum Circle: One Cardinal Bus will run during the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Bulla Lot to Main Building: One University-operated van will operate during the hours of 7:00 to 10:00 am, and 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Download the ND Mobile app from the app store for Apple devices, or from Google Play for Android devices. Any device, including tablets and desktops, can also use the ND Mobile app by visiting m.nd.edu.

TRANSPO

Fare-free transportation is provided for University Students, Faculty, and Staff on all routes throughout the South Bend/Mishawaka system with a valid University ID. Visit TRANSPO’s website for more information on routes and schedules

Route 17 – The SWEEP
- The SWEEP provides service between Notre Dame, Holy Cross and Saint Mary’s College. The SWEEP connects right to the #7 Route on campus. This service runs Monday-Friday during the school year.
- The first day of service for the 2023-2024 school year is Monday, August 21, 2023.
- The SWEEP will not run on the following dates:
  - Monday, September 4, 2023
  - October 16 - October 20, 2023
  - November 22 - November 24, 2023
  - December 18 - January 12, 2024
  - March 11 - March 15, 2024
- The last day of service for the for the school year is Friday, May 10, 2024.
Route 7
- Route 7 leaves from the Hesburgh Library circle drive and travels to University Park Mall and Downtown South Bend near Four Winds Field

AIRPORT SHUTTLE

Airport Shuttle Service between Notre Dame to Chicago Midway and O'Hare Airports offered by Royal Excursion. The shuttles are for student transportation during breaks and holidays.
